Los Angeles Orthopedic Surgery Specialists (LAOSS) is committed to making laorthos.com accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we keep improving the site as we learn.

• Every page starts with a link that skips straight to the main content, and pages use headings and landmarks so screen reader users can move around quickly.
• The whole site works with a keyboard alone, and the item you are on always shows a visible outline.
• Text, buttons, and form fields meet the WCAG color contrast minimums.
• Images that carry meaning have text descriptions.
• Anything that moves on its own can be paused, and animation is turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Forms have visible labels, say which fields are optional, and explain any error in words, not color alone.
• Spanish pages are marked as Spanish, so screen readers read them with a Spanish voice.
• Automated accessibility tests (axe-core and Lighthouse) run on every change to the site before it goes live.

• Some services on the site are run by other companies: online scheduling (Zocdoc), patient education videos (ViewMedica), online bill payment, the patient portal, and office maps (OpenStreetMap). We do not control how those pages are built. If one of them gives you trouble, call us and we will book your visit, answer your question, or take your payment by phone.
• The online chat assistant is available in English only. Spanish-speaking patients can call (323) 264-7600.
