Tim's path to orthopedics has been deliberate: he started as a physical therapy aide watching patients rehab a knee, spent a decade in EMS, scribed for clinicians who modeled patient-centered communication, and finished his PA training rotating with the LAOSS hand team. Tim completed his senior PA rotation at LAOSS itself: 10 weeks across pediatric ortho, hand surgery (with Dr. Malafa and Dr. Pickrell), podiatry, and spine. He first-assisted trigger finger and carpal tunnel releases, performed 70+ image-guided knee hyaluronic-acid injections, and conducted focused neuromuscular exams for spine patients.
